My name is Candy Barton, and I am humbly seeking assistance as I am currently facing two serious medical issues that require urgent attention. In 2019, I underwent surgery to remove papillomas (growths) from my left breast. Since that time, I have continued to experience ongoing symptoms, including pain, itching, and occasional rashes. After recently undergoing an ultrasound and mammogram, I was informed that the papillomas have returned and will need to be surgically removed, as they could eventually develop into cancer if left untreated. Additionally, the tests revealed duct dilation with fluid present and calcification in both breasts, with the condition being more significant in the left breast. The surgery required to remove the papillomas is quite costly and will be performed at Medical Associates Hospital. My second medical concern involves a herniated disc, which I developed in 2022. At that time, I had an MRI done and began therapy; however, I was unable to complete the recommended treatment because each therapy session was very expensive. My doctor has now advised that I undergo another MRI, but unfortunately I cannot afford the cost due to my current financial situation. The reason for the new MRI is that both my doctor and I believe the disc herniation may have worsened. I am experiencing significantly more pain on a daily basis, and my sciatica has become increasingly severe. At times, I am unable to stand straight or walk properly. The most difficult part is living with constant pain every day. The MRI is necessary to determine whether surgery is required or what level of treatment and therapy would best help manage my condition. At this time, I am not working, and the financial burden has become extremely difficult. I am therefore trying to raise funds to assist with the cost of my medical care, and I would be deeply grateful for any support that can be offered.
