IMPORTANT NOTICE:
YOUR CARD STATEMENT WILL SHOW AS BLUE GURUZ INC.
The Contemporary Choreographers’ Collective (COCO) began in 2009 to give young choreographers a place to showcase their work and to grow as artists without having the burden of production expenses on their shoulders. From its inception, the group has presented an annual festival of contemporary dance, workshops, and community interventions (please see cocodancefestival.org). COCO Dance Festival has grown into the largest contemporary dance festival in the English-speaking Caribbean, and has even received two mentions in the New York Daily News. After a year of our Festival of Conversations (2025), we are returning to our full, in-person festival in 2026.
The world is a different place these days, but the arts must continue to reflect the power of our collective humanity. In this spirit, we are aiming to raise funds to support our projects - particularly our annual festival and our COCO in the Community project, where we execute community outreach events.
Please consider supporting us so that we can continue to bring these important programmes to local, regional and international audiences.
