WACK 90.1fm presents, to its loyal listeners, viewers and fans - THE ICONS. As we continue to embrace the new normal, we have conceptualised a third instalment of our online concert series. THE ICONS brings the art-form of calypso in its rawest forms from the teachers and surviving stalwarts who have stood the test of time and have seen their legacy flourish over the years.
First in the line up is the Grenadian born, Anthony Emrold Phillip, better known as Bro. Valentino. Quoted as a 'riveting performer' by, Valentino has put forth a wealth of political and social commentary with songs especially the ever popular Life is a Stage, Stay Up Zimbabwe and Dis Place Nice.
So log on for THE ICONS...Bro Valentino, on Tuesday 7th July, 2020 from 6pm via our YouTube Channel, Facebook Live page and our website. Most importantly, remember to DONATE, DONATE, DONATE to keep the culture, the art-form, our artistes and WACK 90.1fm alive during this time of cultural and normative disruption.
