From Cancer Survivor to Helping a Family of Six My name is Josephine Bando, and I am a cancer survivor. My journey through cancer was one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I was blessed to make it through. During that difficult time, my family and I also faced another heartbreaking situation. My husband kicked me and my children out, leaving us to face uncertainty and hardship when we needed support the most. We know what it feels like to wonder where you will sleep, how you will eat, and how you will find the strength to keep going when everything seems to be falling apart. Today, I want to turn that painful chapter of my life into something positive. I have come across a family of six who are going through circumstances that remind me so much of what my family experienced. They are facing hardship and need help with basic necessities and getting back on their feet. Because I have personally experienced cancer, family hardship, and the feeling of having nowhere to turn, their situation has touched my heart deeply. I don't want to simply walk away when I know what it feels like to need someone to care. That is why I am asking you to help me help this family.
