My name is Pamela Dryden-Reverand and I am 61. On 2 February 2021 I fell, broke my arm and had to have orthopedic surgery 2 days later. I am now the proud owner of a stainless steel plate and 6 shiny screws at a cost of TTD56,000. I was on sick leave for 10 weeks. Had to have therapy to regain the use of my hand and arm which are now at 90%. On 28 May 2021 I became very ill and was flat in bed with a chronic respiratory infection - I spent a considerable sum of money to the doctors and the pharmacy and of course all the fresh fruit and vegetables that were necessary to help me to recover.
I need to have laser surgery done by a vascular surgeon to repair a leaking varicose vein on my left leg costing TTD20,000, and there is a procedure that has to be done 2-6 times after the surgery @ TTD1,200. The vascular surgeon diagnosed me with lymphedema in both legs. Lymphedema requires therapy by a lymphedema therapist at a cost of TTD500 for the consultation and TTD450 for therapy and on going therapy for the rest of my life as there is no cure for it. The vascular surgeon prescribed that the lymphedema therapist use a kit costing TTD1,200 and bandage both my legs on a daily basis. These bandages need to be replaced every 3 months and other aids may also have to be used.
I would be grateful for any assistance that you can give me in dealing with this unforeseen circumstance in my life.
