Welcome to the crowdfunding campaign for Trinidad and Tobago's first Christian feature film DEAREST DADDY GOD! Set against the backdrop of a Trini Christmas, the movie follows the story of US-based Trinbagonian Elisa Ballantayne who returns home to reconcile with God and family after 16 years.

This Faith-Affirming film explores themes of forgiveness, reconciliation, faith, family dysfunction and God's unconditional love in a presentation that strikes the balance between wholesomeness and dramatic, even explosive, storytelling as it addresses the challenging question "Where do you turn when both family and faith hurt?"

More than a Caribbean Christmas film for the entire family, DEAREST DADDY GOD is meant to start a MOVEMENT to ramp-up production and release of quality, culturally-rich, faith-based films by Caribbean creatives which appeal to both Christian and non-Christian audiences alike. 

The film's screenplay was the first ever Trinbagonian screenplay to reach the semifinals of the 2019 edition of the prestigious Movieguide® Kairos Prize for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays for First-Time and Beginning Screenwriters in Hollywood (www.kairosprize.com/semi-finalists-for-the-14th-annual-kairos-prizes/). Then, between March and August 2025, the movie demo, based on just 4 filmed scenes, garnered very positive feedback from test audiences of over 100 persons representing Churches from 4 Caribbean countries, Christian business owners and average Trinidad and Tobago citizens! Their response included praise, tears, worship, comviction and eagerness to see more! 

So...the story is good, the production quality is good, the audience engagement is good and the interest is there. All glory to God! We just need to cross the finish line and complete filming this movie! And this is where you come in...

WE'RE ASKING 2,000 PERSONS TO DONATE JUST $150 EACH BETWEEN NOW AND NOVEMBER 30th, 2025.  All donors will be recognised for "Thank You" in the movie's end credits and receive an advanced ticket to the movie's Opening Weekend in 2026.
