Native Caribbean Foundation is a registered non profit oranization creating a free educational platform for children in school for the past four years, in the area of Performing Arts. We provide theatre by kids, for kids, and have hosted sold out shows attended by thousands of school children each year. Previously we have been self funded from ticket sales and advertisers, however due to Covid 19 restrictions we cannot host shows to live audiences, and cannot earn revenue from ticket sales.
This year, we are filming our production on stage over a period of seven days, for broadcast online. We need funding for rental of the theatre space, videography and sound recording and editing, advertising, purchasing of the licensed production, and costumes. There will be no other production of this type being done this year, and no live theatre productions being hosted, and we hope we can produce this film as a study tool for all performing arts students wherever in the world they may be. And for our young cast and technical staff, we hope that in spite of the restrictions, we can provide an educational, enjoyable, and life changing experience.
