Hi, I'm Candice Antoine-Roberts...how are you? As for me, I haven't been so well.

It started when I got into a vehicular accident in 2014 on Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain, where the car I was traveling in got hit four (4) times, while it was spinning. I was taken to the hospital and was given all the important examinations, from which I came out clean, except for my X-rays, which revealed that eleven (11) bones at the back of my neck had shifted out of place...I was advised to return to Port Of Spain General Hospital, if there were any problems, as I was told to expect certain side effects over time.

A year and a half later, I suffered from a ruptured blood vessel, which started the development of a venous ulcer on my right lower limb. I was treated at San Fernando General Hospital and Port Of Spain General Hospital, as well as at the Cardiovascular Association (CVA) Clinic. Yet, another chronic venous ulcer had developed on my left lower limb, and last November, I was rushed to San Fernando General Hospital for emergency surgery, as my situation became life threatening. I also had to get three (3) blood donors. I was discharged from San Fernando General Hospital close to February of this year, but not without challenges.

To this day, I have shown a bit of improvement. The healing process is continuing slowly but surely. However, I lost my job three (3) years ago, due to the progression of my health situation, and this has presented me with a financial strain. As such, I am currently in need of financial assistance, so that I will be able to get the medical supplies that I need (since all the health institutions have placed their focus mainly on COVID-19 patients), and be able to cover my expenses. Any assistance rendered to me will be greatly appreciated.
