Hi Guys....thank you so much for your generosity last year....we were able to raise $7,391 for Adyen which went a long way towards his therapy and basic supplies.

He continues to do well and is working hard to strenthen his upper body, arms and fingers. Some sensation seems to be coming back to his legs and he can feel which foot is being touched.

THe family is stillwaiting on the results of an MRI that was done last month that hopefully shows some improvment of his spinal cord injury.

He turned 17 recently and his family rallies around to keep his spirits up.

We are looking to raise some money to buy him a motorized scooter. His family is pretty far along as they only need another $5000 out of the $14,500 that these scooters cost.

For those who are hearing about Ayden for the first time here is a brief story of what happened to him about 18 months ago:

One accident on what should have been a beautiful Easter Sunday family outing, a hike to Paria, resulted in 15 year old Ayden being paralysed from the neck down.

In his exicitment on reaching the Paria river, after the long hike, Ayden dived in without checking the depth and hit the sand with such force it fractured his #7 cervical vertebre and left him instantly paralyzed. He had to be air lifted to Mt Hope where numerous tests and surgeries have allowed him to at least sit up with a neck brace on for safety.

Since then with continious therapy, he has been able to regain use of his arms, in a limited way, and very slight feeling in his legs.

The cost of the therapy sessions add up quickly and it is quite an undertaking to get him into a car to take him, so we would like to raise money to at least cover the cost of a therapist visiting him at home and working with him to help him into a wheel chair and hopefully to WALK AGAIN.
