Growing up on a small island in the Caribbean taught me how beautiful culture can be, but it also made me curious about the world beyond what I’ve always known. I’ve always been passionate about learning how other people live, what traditions they hold close, the foods they eat, the languages they speak, and the experiences that shape them. For me, travel is more than a vacation; it’s a way to learn, grow, and connect with people and cultures different from my own. Every trip teaches me something new and gives me memories and perspectives that stay with me long after I return home. One of the hardest parts of traveling from the Caribbean is the cost. Flights are expensive, exchange rates add up quickly, and even reaching one destination can cost far more than people expect. Still, I continue to dream big and work toward experiencing the world despite those challenges. This birthday trip to South Korea is deeply meaningful to me because it represents more than travel; it represents stepping outside of my comfort zone, experiencing a culture I’ve admired for years, and creating memories that I will carry with me forever. Any support, no matter how small, would truly mean so much to me.
