We are raising funds to activate the Caribbean–Africa Cooperation Centre in Danyi-Apeyeme, Togo, in a building already constructed. The Centre will showcase Togolese culture through locally printed fabrics and Trinidad and Tobago culture through steelpan making, tuning, and performance.

The project will establish the first steelband in Togo, create employment in a rural community, and open long-term opportunities for pannists from Trinidad and Tobago through training and cultural tourism.

Funds will be used to set up the teaching space, purchase steelpan materials, pay Trinidad and Tobago tutors (virtual and in-person), and bring a steelpan tuner to Danyi-Apeyeme to train students in tuning and performance.
