Anita is a 37 year old animal lover, who has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia which is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Having been fighting with medical conditions throughout her life, she decided to fight this cancer.
bone marrow reproduces blood cells and because this is damaged she has to do blood transfusions as she is anemic. The pain from this cancer can be overwhelming but yet she pushes through it for a somewhat normal life.
Since Trinidad does not do bone marrow transplants, she has to go abroad to get this done. This is vital in her survival as her body would be broken down by chemotherapy and would most likely not survive without the transplant.
The cost to complete this is $550,000. because her husband and family were able to come up with most of this money, they are reaching out asking for help for the balance.
